Facial Rejuvenation What is Acupuncture Facial Rejuvenation? Acupuncture Facial Rejuvenation is a non-surgical, painless and effective way of reducing the signs of aging. Sometimes referred to as Acupuncture Facelift, Acupuncture Facial Rejuvenation was created to be more than a cosmetic procedure. This process rejuvenates and revitalizes the whole body utilizing the principles of Oriental Medicine. The procedure involves the insertion of very thin needles into particular areas of the face and body to manipulate the movement of Qi or energy according to an individual's needs. What are the effects? Acupuncture Facial Rejuvenation may erase years from the face, fine line may be eliminated and deeper wrinkles diminished. Acupuncture Facial Rejuvenation improves muscle tone, increases circulation, and stimulates the production of collagen, elastin and cellular metabolism. The results of this process are firmer skin, less sagging and puffiness, as well as a more natural lifting effect. Because we treat the whole person, our patients may expect to feel relaxed and have an increased sense of well-being. Who would benefit from Acupuncture Facial Rejuvenation? Anyone who is interested in looking and feeling younger are good candidates for Acupuncture Facial Rejuvenation. In addition, those who are considering surgical facelift may want to try Acupuncture Facial Rejuvenation first, avoiding the cost and discomfort of surgery. Acupuncture Facial Rejuvenation is particularly beneficial for those who have already undergone surgical facelift: Acupuncture Facial Rejuvenation will promote healthier skin and prolong the effects of the surgical facelift. Acupuncture Facial Rejuvenation treats the blood stasis, scarring and potential numbness and pain of surgical facelifts. What is the course of treatment? Generally, a course of treatment consists of 12 treatments. Additional courses of treatment may be desirable depending on your skin and it's condition; lines, wrinkles, sagging, puffiness. Results may be prolonged by receiving a maintenance treatment once a month or once every three months. It is often recommended to supplement with Facial Self-Massage and/or Acupressure, facial exercises, and herbal or nutritional supplements.
